Old Filling Station

Old Filling Station Missoula, MT 6x9 watercolor The snow began to melt outside the old Paul Bourquin station on the corner of Third and Orange streets. It's a neat little station, reminiscent of the past. Mr. Bourquin passed away in 2001. He died in his towing truck on McDonald Pass, though the station still bears his name.

Toledo Cathedral Toledo, Spain 6x9 ink sketch After a long and circular climb to the bell tower, which holds the largest bell in Spain, I sat in the plaza and made a quick sketch of this fantastic piece of history and architecture. Sadly, I couldn't fit the bell tower into the picture.

Taking Down the Merch

Taking Down The Merc Missoula, MT 6x9 watercolor Crews have been working to deconstruct the historic Missoula Mercantile for months now, starting from the inside and working their way out. They removed the bricks one by one on Higgins Avenue before bringing in the bulldozers. This is one of several watercolor sketches of the progress.
